Battalion Chief Series Commercial Flagpoles

Our toughest external halyard flagpoles. Battalion Chief poles have extra-thick .250" walls and are rated for winds of 150+ mph with a flag flying, which makes them a top pick for coastal, open-country and high-wind sites. The rope runs on the outside of the pole. They come with a gold ball, a revolving truck, a flash collar, a galvanized foundation sleeve, and stainless steel snaps with covers.

How to choose: external halyard poles (Jr Cadet through Battalion Chief) have the rope on the outside and cost less. Internal halyard poles hide the rope or cable inside and lock it away: Asst. Chief uses a rope and a locking cam cleat, while Chief and Deputy Chief use a stainless cable and a winch with a removable handle, our most secure setup. Within each type, a higher rank means thicker walls and a higher wind rating. Captain poles are nautical: a yardarm (and optional gaff) lets you fly several flags from one pole.
